Verify Credentials
NMCAB’s Registry makes it easy to verify that a credential is active, valid, and up to date. This helps employers, clients, and institutions have confidence that credentialed staff meet NMCAB’s standards.
🔍 How Credential Verification Works
- Search the Registry
Employers or interested parties can use the public registry to look up a credentialed individual by name and credential type. - Check Credential Status
Each candidate profile indicates whether the credential is active, renewal is up-to-date, or expired/inactive. - View Credential Details
Credentials will display:
• Credential name and acronym (e.g., NACMA™, NACPT™, etc.)
• Date originally certified
• Renewal date or expiration date
• Credential domains or areas of competency (optional based on disclosure) - Confirm via Employer Lookup
Employers may also verify credentials by contacting NMCAB support with the candidate’s name and credential—especially if the registry listing is incomplete or not fully public.
✅ Why Verification Matters
- Ensures the person holds a valid, current credential, not an expired one.
- Supports safe hiring decisions by confirming the credential meets standardized job-analysis-based expectations.
- Provides transparency for risk management, compliance, and accreditation audits.
ℹ️ Verification Tips & Good Practices
- Always verify the expiration date; credentials expire unless renewed.
- If a credential is marked “inactive” or “pending”, check renewal or eligibility status before making hiring or contractual decisions.
- Use the credential domain information (if available) to match required competencies for the job.
