Accreditation & Recognition

Accreditation & Recognition

The National Medical Certification and Accreditation Board (NMCAB) is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of credibility, fairness, and transparency in healthcare credentialing. Our accreditation and recognition framework ensures that every credential we issue is valid, defensible, and aligned with national and international best practices.

Accreditation Standards

  • ISO/IEC 17024 Alignment
NMCAB operates in alignment with the ISO/IEC 17024: Conformity Assessment – General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons standard. This internationally recognized framework ensures our certification processes are reliable, impartial, and competency-based.
  • Validity Through Job Analysis
Every credential is based on a formal job analysis conducted with subject matter experts, employers, and certified professionals. This ensures exam content reflects real-world practice.
  • Renewal & Continuing Competence
NMCAB requires all credential holders to maintain their certification through 200 verified work hours OR 20 CEUs every two years, ensuring ongoing competence.

Recognition

  • National Recognition
NMCAB credentials are recognized across the United States by employers, schools, and healthcare systems seeking workforce alignment with validated competency standards.
  • Employer & School Partnerships
NMCAB collaborates with employers, hospitals, training programs, and colleges to ensure our standards are integrated into hiring and educational pipelines.
  • Registry & Verification
Through our NMCAB Registry, employers and the public can verify the active status of credential holders, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • North American Expansion
